This new attraction at the Universal Orlando Florida Resort opened in the middle of 2010, and is already a massive hit. Actors from the series of movies, such as Daniel Radcliffe, Bonnie Wright, and Rupert Grint were on hand for the celebrations and opening for the wizarding world of Harry Potter. This Universal attraction is the only one in the world where fans of Harry Potter can see the characters come to life. What a chance this is to be immersed in a whole fantasy world that millions of people would love to “cast a spell” for!

It took 5 years to create the wizarding world of Harry Potter, and this wonderful area of the Universal Orlando Resort was inspired by J.K. Rowling’s books. It has a restaurant and shops and several themed attractions, and they are all faithful to the films and books. Fans will be in Hogwarts Heaven here. At Universal wizarding world of Harry Potter, guests may tour the castle, dine in an eaterie called Three Broomsticks, shop in town, as well as eat sweets which explode, ride on a dragon, drink delicious Butterbeer, and share many other adventures from Harry Potter.

It’s just like being in the movies, he says. Author Rowling is very happy and is effusive about the creative teams from Warner Bros. and Universal. They are spot on with all of the wonderful scenery and atmosphere and SFX and rides, various fans have mentioned.

Hogwarts Castle, naturally, is at the center of this attraction. You can see it from everywhere within the Islands of Adventure theme park. Inside the huge building lies Harry Potter & The Forbidden Journey. Immersive SFX and technology will let visitors experience the world of Harry Potter like never before. Guests soar over Hogwarts and then get yanked into an active Quidditch match, escape a dragon match by the skin of their teeth, encounter the Whomping Pillow, plus much more. Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park is right next to their first one, and easy to visit if you’re there on vacation for a few days.

At Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods visitors may purchase a Marauder’s Map, mail letters at the Owl Post, get a few tips from Hagrid, experience dueling roller coasters, or enjoy a training flight aboard the Flight of the Hippogriff. If visitors book a vacation package and their accommodation is onsite, they will get added benefits inside this outstanding attraction — The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
